Harriet Tubman is a badass, and if you weren't already aware, you would do well to read this book. It's a quick read, perhaps not the most in-depth analysis, but made it easily accessible to everyone and not just history buffs. It follows the story of Harriet's parents meeting to Harriet's death in 1913, highlighting her service as a conductor on the Underground Railroad and to the U.S. Army during the Civil War.
